| 06/07/2006 More accurate spy photos of the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Caravan have emerged, showing that the redesigned minivan will get a much boxier, more upright profile compared to today's jellybean shape. The '08 Town & Country and Dodge Caravan are expected to make their public debut in January at the 2007 Detroit auto show. Both vehicles will go on sale in the spring as '08 models. A companion minivan for Volkswagen will be introduced in late 2007 or early 2008. The Chrysler vans are due to receive all-new sheet metal and dramatically revised interiors, although they will retain such popular features as stow-and go seating. Among the new features, according to suppliers, will be roll-down windows in the sliding side doors and a dashboard-mounted shift lever for the automatic transmission. A new 4.0-liter V-6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission will be offered as well. DetNews.com |
