Dodge Caravan
| | Model of the car: | Dodge Caravan | | | General comments: | I would NOT recommend anyone purchase a 1987-1988 Plymouth Voyager, after speaking to a Dodge Dealer, they stated that this year of 3.3LT V-6 engines had MANY problems such as I had been experiencing. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | I purchased a 1988 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE, and it was the worst vehicle I have purchased. I purchased it used, but with very low miles. I started having problems with it within 6 months. If this that went wrong was the Aluminium Heads Warped, which over heated the engine, and blew the block heater out (this was a 3500.00 bill.....not covered by Dodge (since I had the van 6 months). Next went the power steering, then the rack & pinon, then the brakes, and the "tailgate" latch, then the master cylander. This Van in less then 1 year cost me over 5200.00 in repairs. All repairs were done at Dodge. NOW to top this off, 1 year, and 2 months later....guess what.. the rods were knocking, and the head gaskets warped AGAIN. BAD VAN!!! | | | Previous car: | I now own a 1990 Dodge Caravan SE...we just purchased it from a nice couple, and it has VERY low miles, we finally desided after 10 years to try again. Let's hope this one is better |
