| | Model of the car: | Dodge Caravan | | | General comments: | at 122,000 km developed engine noise which reulted in replacement of new motor covered under extended warrenty. Had problems fiting existing transmission housing to new motor and transmssion was replaced too. At 170,000km replaced 3rd transmission at 2,200 dollars canadian. At 220,000km replaced 4th transmission. At 245,000km replaced 5th transmission. The latest transmission replacement found clogged core of transmssion cooler (200 Dollars), and Throttle Positioning Sensor. Seems to have fixed the problem. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Motor and Transmission problems. Please please...replace the transmission cooler and Throttle Positioning Sensor when you replace transmission...it is a must. |
