| | Model of the car: | Dodge Caravan | | | General comments: | After reading so many sad stories, I feel I have to talk about my van. Yes, at 100,000 miles I had the transmition rebuilt (I topped it off with Dextron instead of AFT 3, and it was toast within 4 weeks), but now with 354,000 (three hundred and fifty four thousand)miles on the vehicle, I have had only minor repairs over the last ten years. The motor is still great, and the van itself still looks sharp inside and out. I've bought a 1996 grand LE, and I love it, hope that it can be half the van my 91 is. Still drive the 91 almost every day to work, needs a seal in the transmition now, and the mechanic says it will cost $250 to fix. I wonder if dodge will give me a new one at 500,000 miles. My neighbor says no, because I've already gotten three cars use out of this one.
