Dodge Caravan
| | Model of the car: | Dodge Caravan | | | General comments: | I don't recommend it. I am finding out from here that I am not the only one seeing transmission failure at 120,000ish miles. If singlehanded conspiracy were not an oxymoron, this van would be guilty of one to ensure that I remain broke. I have only had it for one year, for crying out loud! | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Recalls, recalls, recalls, recalls (7 in all so far). Have had to replace: brake pads and rotors, power steering pump, timing belt, brake pads and rotors, serpentine belt, fuel pump, water pump, radiator, brake pads and rotors (see a pattern here?), now facing transmission failure. Transmission replacement will cost $800-$1600, depending on who you ask. Still owe most of the $4500 paid. | | | Previous car: | Previously drove Dodge Dakota Pickup, liked it a lot, much more reliable. |
