| | Model of the car: | Dodge Caravan | | | General comments: | I took a bath on value right after I purchased it. I am forced to keep it in order to retain any value for my money. Plus selling it will lay a guilt trip on anyone for peddling a know piece of JUNK! As, i told Chrysler in my letter to them. !!I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT!!! | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | The transmission was diagnosed as bad right after i bought it with 69000 miles on it. It stumbles or hesitates with a thumping sound at around 30-35 MPH and again at 50 MPH when accelerating. Dodge gave me a $2000 estimate but a local tranny guy said I might as well just drive it like that because I'll need to replace it by 90000 as the caravans only last that long. I had some correspondence with Chrysler as well. They sent me a BS letter saying how they were sorry with my dissatisfaction but they were making substantial headway in Customer Satisfaction. The nerve. Well, they are hurting badly in sales this year and I guarantee it's because the word is getting out that they've been peddling garbage thanks to the Internet. There is tons of documnetationa on what ad dog this A-604 tranny is. There is an attorney who has tried to get a class action law suit going. I keep getting these stupid racall notices for piddly things. I WANT A RECALL FOR THE @#$#%*& TRANSMISSION!! Plus the ABS pump makes a belching sound everytime you brake.
