| ||Model of the car:||Dodge Caravan|
| ||General comments:||Unfortunately Dodge has lost a good customer. Major failures keep occuring. I have never encountered these type of problems on other cars i have owned, although they were not Crysler products! I wish thy had a web site that would acknowledge these types of problems and give recommended fixes for them. Am I all alone out here with a lemon or is everyone having the same problems?|
| ||What things have gone wrong with the car:||Transmission is a piece of junk. 1 new replacement at 30K and two rebuilds. Car doors are out of alignment now with stress cracks in body of car. Friends 1995 van has same problem. Seems that there should have been a safety strap to stop door from opening to far. Struts and shocks fail at just over 70K causing poor drive conditions around bends. Poor gas milage since I had van. 12 miles per gallon hwy. No answer to gas problem. Front breaks always going bad prematurely. Back window now leaks black glue, reason unknown, but leaves a big mess to clean up every time it gets warm outside. Headlights discolored showing age marks and in need of replacement. Reason also unknown.|
| ||Previous car:||I have had a caravan before. Similar problems with that van as well. I should have learned my lesson the first time. I guess I bought it due to it being a good size choice for a family of 5.|
