| | Model of the car: | Dodge Caravan | | | General comments: | I highly reccomend it , if you can find a 96 or new van with the 3 speed auto (only available with the 3.0 V6 or 2.4 liter four cylinder . So far in almost 50000 miles the only problem has been the wiper problem . Engine and tranny has been great so far and it gets 26-27 mpg on highway trips at 65-70 mph . | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Tires wore out within 35000 miles , cheap Goodyears . Had the famous phantom wiper problem . Fixed by dealer haven't seen any more problem in about 2 years . Shortage of leg room in standard length vans . | | | Previous car: | First minivan , previously had a 92 Taurus sedan what a piece of junk , constantly in the shop for one thing . Towed to dealer multiple times , now driveable for things like broken engine mounts , premature failure of coolant hoses etc.... |
