Grand Caravan

 Model of the car:Grand Caravan
General comments:We fell in love with the minivan when we rented one to go on vacation. We rented a Voyager and we should have bought one, but instead we opted for the Grand Caravan because of the room. The van drove great for the first two years. But after having it for about 23 months the transmission went. Thank God we had an extended warranty. We have had a gas leak, the brakes wear very fast and the rotors need replacing. The oil light comes on for no apparent reason and it is hard on tires. Our first transmission went at 44000 miles and was replaced by the dealer. It has gone out again at 122,000 miles and I guess we are really blessed. We have found someone to rebuild it and we will sale it even though we owe more than it is valued at. It seems all of the car dealers have heard about the Caravan. It was our first and our last. Something really needs to be done about Dodge.
What things have gone wrong with the car:Very poorly made and Dodge doesn't care.
 Previous car:Voyager
