Dodge Caravan
| | Model of the car: | Dodge Caravan | | | General comments: | This was our second Caravan; had a 1996 with the short body style. The 1998 was on it's third set of brakes when we turned it in with 39,000 miles. I complained to the dealer that there was a brake design flaw. Surely, I was not the only person experiencing this problem. (Note: my present vehicle has 35,000 miles and still has it's original brakes.) Of course, he agreed with us, but Chrysler didn't want to address the issue. I was very disappointed with this vehicle; tires are undersized for the vehicle; their should be four wheel disc brakes and instead there is front disc and rear drum. Take a look at the vehicle design and you can see that it pitches forward--placing a lot of weight on the front end. We drive a full-size Dodge conversion van now and it's a far better vehicle. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | brakes |
