Dodge Caravan

 Model of the car:Dodge Caravan
General comments:Chrysler deserves a Class Action Suit or at minimum, a recall from the Federal
Government.

Our 1998 Plymouth Voyager lost its transmission in Ffeb 2003 with only 93,087 km. The car was lightly driven
and never used to tow anything despite the fact it was equipped with a transmission cooler.

From the time it was new, there has been a vibration at highway speeds that is very annoying and Chrysler could not or would not fix.

Cost: $3352 with taxes and tow.

The horrible part is the nature of the failure. I was out of town on
business and my wife was driving downhill when the transmission seized and stalled the engine. No engine means no power steering and no power brakes. Luck was on her side. The light at the bottom
of the hill was green (she coasted through) and managed to wrestle the car to a stop with the parking brake.
What things have gone wrong with the car:Brakes (poor durability)
Fuel Economy.
Transmission durability.
Vibrations at highway speeds.
