| ||General comments:||Before we bought our 1998 Dodge Caravan we felt we did our homework in researching as to who made the best minivan. All consumer reports pointed us toward the Caravan. But most consumer reports are based on the first 3 months of ownership. Two thousand miles after the warranty expired, the tranmission went. We wrote letters to no avail to Dodge and paid to have our transmission rebuilt. Now here we are just one year later and the #1 cylinder has just 60 lbs compression. This will cost approx. $2000 to repair. Dodge needs to either build cars that can last 65000 miles or give warranties that can.|
| ||What things have gone wrong with the car:||No leg space in the back seats. Poor transmission. Poor engine reliability. Putting our mechanic's kids through college.|
| ||Previous car:||Chevrolet Cavalier.|
