Dodge Caravan
| | Model of the car: | Dodge Caravan | | | General comments: | I rate the Dodge Caravan as unreliable. I purchased our Caravan brand new from our local dealership. Before the van had 15,000 miles, the serpentine belt had to be replaced. By 25,000 miles, it had to be replaced again. The second time, I was promised by the service manager that the root cause of the problem had been corrected. At 43,000 miles, the belt had to be replaced. This time, the van is out of waranty. Although it was a pre-existing problem, the service department refuses to accept responsibility. They keep telling me that the 2001 models don't have this problem and that this problem is common among the previously manufactured Chrsyler vans. Then the brake problem reared it's ugly head. I plan to unload the van as soon as the repairs are made. I wish I had reviewed this web sight before I purchased the van. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Engine and brake reliability | | | Previous car: | None |
