| | Model of the car: | Dodge Caravan | | | General comments: | If I was asked on Monday how I liked my Dodge Caravan, I would have told you it's been great. On Tuesday night after work and picking the kids up from daycare it just quit. No warning lights and no strange sounds. I just paid the thing off in Sept. of 2002 and this happens. I did nit experience any of the trans problems. Just something woth the ignition switch that was fixed under warranty. I also had break trouble that I thought was normal wear and tear. It was a turbo booster? rotors and breaks. $600, and we were back on the road. I was always told Dodge had a long engine life, I kinda doubt that. 97000 miles and it sits in the drive way and wont start. Had it looked at and nobody can tell me whats wrong. Someone mentioned the motor seized up. How is that possible? It's full of oil and other fluids. Just had it serviced. here is the prob. all was well while driving, then all lights on dashboard came on at the exact same time the engine quit. All the interior and exterior lights,radio and other stuff work. Except the engine. Turn the key nothing happens. If anyone out there has a clue to as what the heck is wrong please email me at gysel@localnet.com I would like to fix if if it is affordable. loved my van I am thankful it happened this week, we were supposed to leave for a 1500 mile drive 3 days later.
