| | Model of the car: | Dodge Caravan | | | General comments: | We have the 2000 Sport Van. Don't know how this van gets such a bad rap (or rep). We have put almost 24,000 miles on it since we bought it just a little over a year ago and it has been wonderful. I have taken it on several business trips and have toured the east coast several times during that period. It hasn't had one single warranty repair on it and no maintenance problems in that time with all those miles. The milage is better than the Chevy S-10 I was driving and the power and handling are better than many cars I have had in the past. It is quiet and comfortable on the road with the captains chairs and the sound system is wonderful. Unlike others' experiences the transmission has been flawless and the engine hums for hours on end on our long road trips. It was involved in an accident and I was given a 2001 Dodge Sport Van and I must say that the 2000 is better appointed and more comfortable.
I had rented a Ford Windstar for a day trip in the past and after several hours in it I find that the Dodge is a noticably better ride for my seating comfort and driver position.
