Grand Caravan SE
| | Model of the car: | Grand Caravan SE | | | General comments: | "DON'T WASTE YOU MONEY ON A CHRYSLER PRODUCT" I purchased this van less that one year ago. (10 months to be exact) The first 6 months I had no problems with it, but I went on on vaction to Florida and it has been in the repair shop 9 times in 6 months. It has had the following problems over this period: " Three (3) new power steering pumps (and it is currently waiting for a 4th)(1st new pump was installed at 9,800 miles), New front rotors and pads, new clock spring, and new visor clips. I have had to go out and purchase a 1995 Toyota Camry LE so my wife and daughter will be safe to and from there daily commutes. I don't trust my family in this vehicle. I am now in the process of filing for the Lemon Law. The state of Maryland gives you 15 months and or 15,000 miles (which ever comes first) and I am currently at 10 months and 14,000 miles. So I have had to park the van until this process is taken care of. So now I am paying over $400.00 a month for a van I can't drive. I just a large lawn ornament at this point. If I am lucky enough Dodge will end this nightmare and buy this vehicle back from me. I have a 1992 Toyota 4x4 pick up and it hasn't been in the repair shop 9 times in 9 years!! Something is wrong when you buy a new vehicle and you have to repair it as much as a used vehicle. I have tried to buy American and I will be going back to Toyota or Nissan after this nightmare. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Steering and breaking systems. | | | Previous car: | None. Last vehicle was a 1996 Nissan Altima and it had 72,000 miles on it when traded in without any problems. |
